week in review: so much done!

Tomorrow morning we're headed to WV to play with some friends. I believe kayaking is on the agenda. The weather is supposed to be amazing. I can't wait!

Highlights from the week:
  • shopping with my new hemming knowledge made my last trip to Target very successful (Megan, sale on trouser jeans - check it out!)
  • I am now the proud owner of two perfectly hemmed pairs of jeans
  • giving my dental assistant my earrings that she complimented made me want to smile all day
  • five shots of novacaine wouldn't let me
  • looking like you've had a stroke for half a day can be very humbling
  • figuring out how to crochet my next afghan is proving trickier than I thought. any ideas?
  • realizing a new project isn't/shouldn't be on my priority list doesn't phase me a bit
  • I am shameless when it comes to collecting Michael's coupons from neighbors
  • crossing things off to-do lists is exhilarating!
  • blog stalkers make me happy inside
  • picture threads on Facebook make me want to go to homecoming more and more every day
  • vanilla bean with raspberries and chocolate chip mix-ins from Cold Stone might just be my favorite combination
  • I love a good blogshere shout-out (thanks Rebecca!)
  • finding old pictures makes for great blackmail - here and here
  • believe it or not, I'm starting to look forward to TX
  • seeing Jim on Fridays is still the highlight of my week
  • I LOVE THE FALL!
That about sums it up. See you Monday!

Hehehe, I know what you mean about the coupons...I shamelessly stalk my friends and relatives for their Bed Bath & Beyond coupons!!!

Sorry! I thought of it on Wednesday. I was going to make Cami a little 50's housewife dress but I realized that was waayy too much effort to put into a garment she'd probably grow out of pretty quickly. Thanks for the compliment, although I feel like a real "shmegege" for stealing your idea even though I didn't know you were thinking it. Great minds think alike!

I love when my gram brings me over Joann Fabrics coupons. So I can buy the stuff that's already made, of course!!! I love their decorations and wreaths and things.

And occasionally I make a no-sew fleece blanket. But I always mess up the corners.

I'm hope-less.

But I'm glad I could be a small part of your weeks happy thoughts!!

Must go...thought I read there was a sale on trouser jeans!!! And with that tutorial, my mom is going to have so much fun hemming them!

okay. i read through those hemming instructions. i just can't "picture" it. K.- don't you think you need to go and buy one more pair and show us your pictures? seriously I need to buy a pair of jeans that don't show my lovely muffining top. ugh.

ps. I am forever in your debt for showing us that hemming link. now, i can try jeans on ANYWHERE and know that I can (eventually) hem them myself!!!

The hemming method is brilliant. I love people smarter than me, who apparently are shorties like me. Hemming usually makes say prayers before I cut or just mummble things under my breath I shouldn't. Now there's hope. Hooray!

You've now shown me the first afgan that hasn't made me think BLECK! The pics are so beautiful I want one. Wanna come teach me how? LY - Deener
