weekend notes: yummy food

There was a lot of eating this weekend... It started with a birthday dinner (for my MIL) of sauteed shrimp on spinach salad, yummy bruchetta, and a homemade angel-food-cake-cherry-pineapple delight. (Most of all, though, it was a quiet moment just Jim, myself, my MIL and FIL. It was nice to have all the distractions fall away and simply enjoy family.) The next day Jim and I slept in LATE, ran 3 good miles together and enjoyed lunch at the Cheesecake Factory with a friend. I left in time for them to catch a guy movie and I enjoyed a cookout with the rest of the family. Sunday was another lazy day with lunch at Schlotzsky's and an afternoon riding a Harley with our Ukrainian friends. I finished it out with some lacrosse in the backyard and a bike ride with Roxy. I always feel good when I burn off the calories that I eat!

Things to do this week:
  • watch more Olympics
  • clean out my car (messy!)
  • make myself a new purse like this?
  • run! only one more week
  • call about that pesky speeding ticket I got on Thursday
  • catch up on some of my emails... so many...
  • make some jewelry - I've been feeling the itch lately
  • spend some time in the Word. I need it so badly
