The highlight of my weekend was the Griffon at Busch Gardens. Three times. Twice in the front row, which is totally worth the extra 20 minutes in line. But I loved all five of their major roller coasters. I felt like I was 13 again, racing to the lines over and over and over again. After lunch, Jim and his friend Dave said something to the effect of, "We should wait a while since we just ate. We don't want to throw up." To which I replied, "Later!" I fit in 3 coasters while their food "settled". Such a good time. And I'm now horse.
The weekend began, though, with an impromptu sleep-over at my SILs, beginning with a delicious meal at the Capitol Ale House in Richmond. One of the reasons I love fall? Hard cider. Sure, I know its available year round, but it tastes better in September, October and November. So there we were, sipping our autumnal beverages and chowing on brats, scallops, fries, etc, out on their patio. Does it get any better than that?
Since nothing else of consequence happened this weekend, I'll leave you with a few pictures. Note Jim's face in these. Especially the last one - he looks darn right giddy. (I apparently needed some time to warm up to the idea.)

I call that creative photo taking.
--- You are free to define "taking" any way you want.
whahoooo! DR
Oh man!
I was so gonna take you guys on the Sandia Tram (when you got here) but its sooooo slooooow.
You'll be bored.
Jim will press his smilin' face against the tram car window sayin', "Ok...Alright...Here we go....Here we go...Any minute now....Ok...."
And Stella will run from one side of the car to the other, slammin' herself against the windows screamin' "Can't...this...go...any...FASTER?!?!"
I can just picture it :)
tacky? no. brilliant & frugal, k.
sounds like way too much fun!
Such fun!
You are a daredevil!
I miss roller coaster so much! It's been years and I recently told Matt if he ever wants to do something nice for me it's to arrange for us to go to Six Flags for a day - leaving the kids at home! I love the picture taking - I think it's genius and I plan on using it whenever possible :)
You guys sure no how to seize the day. You seem to have the best weekends ever. We ummmm cleaned and organized our house on Saturday. Yea... I know you are so jealous. :-)
I love that you took a pic of the screen. That's the Karen I know and love!
Um yeah, I would never pay for one of those pictures either...good call on photographing the screen, hehehe!
